Master Chief Pulvino, a native of Seattle, Wash., enlisted in the United States Navy in July 1997. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes he reported to Naval Training Center, Great Lakes where he completed Radioman “A” school.

Upon graduation of Radioman “A” school, he reported for his initial duty assignment with Naval Computer and Telecommunications Station (NCTS), Guam. Following completion of his initial tour at NCTS Guam, he served onboard the USS Vincennes (CG 49), COMSEVENTHFLT, USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), and USS George Washington (CVN 73), all forward-deployed units based out of Yokosuka, Japan. Additionally, Master Chief Pulvino completed a shore assignment with the Defense Information Systems Agency Pacific located in Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii.

He was selected for the Command Senior Chief program in 2013 and served his initial command tour as the Command Senior Chief and Command Master Chief (CMDCM), onboard the USS Patriot (MCM 7); forward-deployed out of Sasebo, Japan. CMDCM Pulvino then reported to his follow-on assignment as the CMDCM of VAW 125, the “Tigertails” in 2016 where he led the command through a homeport shift from Norfolk, Va., to Iwakuni, Japan. His followon assignment was as the CMDCM of NCTS Far East, Yokosuka, Japan, the same location as his next and current assignment as CMDCM of U.S. 7th Fleet flagship, USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19).

Master Chief Pulvino holds undergraduate degrees in both Management and Information Technology. Additionally, Master Chief Pulvino is a distinguished graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 176, the Command Leadership School Class 123, and Executive Leadership Symposium. He has earned the Enlisted Surface Warfare, Information Warfare, and Aviation Warfare designations.

He has multiple individual, unit, and campaign decorations and awards. However, he is most proud of the numerous Battle Efficiency and Retention Excellence awards his units have earned, in addition to warfare pennants his crews have achieved.
