Command Master Chief Marcus Jimenez is a native of Texas and graduated from Plainview High School in 2000. He enlisted in the Navy 2001 and attended basic training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, IL. Upon gradutaion he proceeded to Airman Apprenticeship Training School at Naval Air Technical Training Center (NATTC), Naval Air Station, Pensacola, FL. Command Master Chief Jimenez is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 223 Purple) and a graduate of the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat (CMC/COB) course. He holds an Associate, Bachelors, and a Masters degree.
Sea duty assignments include: serving at Strike Fighter Squadron 14, USS NIMITZ (CVN 68); USS JACKSON (LCS-6) Crew 212; and USS OMAHA (LCS-12) Crew 212. His most recent assignment was USS CANBERRA (LCS-30) GOLD.
His shore duty assignments include: serving at Balboa Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA; Commander Airborne Command Control and Logistics Wing in Point Mugu, CA and NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego, CA.
He currently serves as the Command Master Chief onboard USS MOBILE (LCS-26) BLUE San Diego, CA.
Master Chief Jimenez’s personal decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), and well as various unit and campaign awards.
