CMDCM Benjamin Lee Washington

Command Master Chief, Littoral Combat Ship Squadron ONE (LCSRON 1)

10 August 2022 Command Master Chief Benjamin L. Washington, a native of Rochester, N.Y., enlisted in 1997.  He is a graduate of Operations Specialist ‘A’ school, the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 202 Gold) and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 174). Washington holds an Associate’s degree in General Science from National University.  

At sea, CMDCM Washington deployed aboard Pre-Commissioning Unit Decatur (DDG 73), USS Thach (FFG 43), USS Higgins (DDG 76), USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), USS Bunker Hill (CG 52), and USS Wayne E. Meyer (DDG 108).

Ashore, he served at Fleet Antisubmarine Warfare Training Center and the Center for Surface Combat Systems Detachment. 

Washington currently serves as Command Master Chief of Littoral Combat Ship Squadron One.

His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards), Enlisted Surface and Aviation Warfare insignias and numerous campaign awards.
