Past Command Senior Chief, USS Gabrielle Giffords (LCS 10) Blue Crew

15 August 2022 Command Senior Chief Randy Griffeth, a native of Yantis, Texas, joined the United States Navy and attended Recruit Training Command in August of 1999. He holds an associate degree in Arts and General Studies from the American Military University. Griffeth is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 239/Red) as well as the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat (CMC/COB) Course (Class 22100).

His sea duty assignments include Helicopter Anti-Submarine Six (HS-6), Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron Seven One (HSM-71), and USS Makin Island (LHD 8).

Ashore, his assignments include Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron THREE (HSC-3), Helicopter Combat Support Special Squadron (HCS-4), Defense Intelligence Agency, Defense Attaché Office Paris, France, and Commander, Fleet Logistics Multi-Mission Wing.

His current assignment is Command Senior Chief, USS Gabrielle Giffords (LCS 10) Blue Crew.

His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
