CDR Ralph Lufkin

Past Commanding Officer, USS Manchester (LCS 14) Blue Crew

06 October 2022 A native of Basking Ridge, N.J., Cmdr. Ralph Lufkin graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor’s of Science in Political Science. He is also a graduate of the U.S. Naval War College with a Master of Arts degree in National Defense and Strategic Studies.

At sea, he served as strike officer aboard USS Oscar Austin (DDG 79); auxiliary officer aboard USS Vandergrift (FFG 48); operations officer aboard USS Dextrous (MCM 13) and USS Independence (LCS 2); and as executive officer of USS Manchester’s (LCS 14) Blue crew.

Ashore, Lufkin served as a class officer at Officer Training Command Newport, and as an instructor at the Surface Warfare Officers School Command.

His current assignment is commanding officer of USS Manchester’s (LCS 14) Blue crew.

Cmdr. Lufkin has received various personal unit and campaign awards while serving with talented teams of naval professionals.
