Senior Chief Petty Officer Artisteo T. Orodio, a native of Manila Philippines, comes from a U.S. military family, son of a retired Navy Chief, he began his military career in 2000 when he enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Upon completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he reported to Operations Specialist “A” school in Dam Neck, Virginia. He holds an Associate’s Degree in General Studies from Central Texas College.


He rose through the ranks serving aboard USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD-6), USNS Rappahannock (T-AO-204), USS McClusky (FFG-41), USS Essex (LHD-2), and USS Mobile Bay (CG-53). At sea he served as a Watch Supervisor, naval message writer, Division Leading Petty Officer, member of both the Combat Systems Training Team (CSTT) and Antiterrorism Training Team, Division Leading Chief Petty Officer (LCPO), and as Departmental LCPO for the largest department aboard Essex. He completed eight at-sea deployments in U.S. Third, Fifth, Seventh Fleet and three South Pacific areas of responsibility.

His qualifications include Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist, Anti-Submarine Tactical Air Controller (ASTAC), Combat Information Center Watch Officer, Antiterrorism Tactical Watch Officer, Master Training Specialist, Surface Warfare Commander, and CSTT Tactical Lead.

His shore duty assignments include Military Sealift Command where he was a Replenishment at Sea scheduler for U.S. Third Fleet, and Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center where he served as an Air Control Instructor and LCPO where he led approximately 20 Instructors (Chief Petty Officers and senior Petty Officers) who taught Air Defense Controllers, Sea Combat Air Controllers and ASTACs.

He reported to Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center (SMWDC) October 2022 where he now serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader.
