Captain Ted Wiederholt is an Iowa native and entered the Naval Service in 1998 after graduating from Iowa State University’s NROTC program. He holds a Master’s in Public Administration from Iowa State University and a Master’s in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College. 

Sea duty assignments include tours onboard USS NASSAU (LHA-4), USS PORTER (DDG 78), USS CHOSIN (CG 65) and recently Commanding Officer of USS SHOUP (DDG 86). 

Shore assignments include duty as a NROTC Navigation and Surface Warfare Instructor at Iowa State University and five tours in the Pentagon on the Navy Staff and Joint Chiefs of Staff.
