CDR Andrew J. Recame

Executive Officer, USS Oakland (LCS 24) Gold Crew

24 February 2023 Cmdr. Andrew Recame, a native of Clinton, N.J., graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and commissioned through the NROTC program in 2007. He holds a Master of Business Administration from North Carolina State University and a Master of Arts in Defense and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College.

At sea, Recame served as electrical, auxiliaries, and VBSS boarding officer aboard USS Halsey (DDG 97); as weapons officer at Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron Five; operations officer aboard USS Donald Cook (DDG 75); and at Task Force 65 as part of the first Forward Deployed Naval Forces in Europe.

Ashore, Recame was a Naval Science instructor at North Carolina State and a Maritime Warfare instructor at Surface Warfare Schools Command in Newport, R.I.

Recame currently serves as executive officer of USS Oakland (LCS 24) Gold crew.

His personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (six awards), the Navy Achievement Medal, and multiple unit, campaign, and service awards.
