Senior Chief Douglas is a native of Gallup, New Mexico where she graduated from Gallup High School. She enlisted in the Navy in September of 1999 as an Undesignated Airman Recruit. 

Upon graduation from basic training, she attended Airman Apprenticeship School (ATD), where afterward she reported to her first command USS George Washington (CVN-73) in December of 1999 and was rated an Information Systems Technician (IT) in 2001.

Following her duty at CVN-73, she reported to IT “A” school in Great Lakes, Ill. Upon completion of IT “A” school, she was assigned to USNS San Jose (T-AFS 7) from 2002-2003, USS Shiloh (CG-67) from 2003-2005, Commander, Submarine Forces Pacific (COMSUBPAC) from 2005-2008 and USS Tarawa (LHA-1) from 2008-2009 where she provided critical support in the ship’s decommissioning.

She then reported to Pre-commissioning Detail (PRECOM DET) / USS Dewey (DDG-105) from 2009-2011 and later served at the Center for Information Dominance Unit San Diego (CIDU SD) from 2011-2016. During this tour, she completed a one-year Individual Augmentee (IA) tour to Commander Task Force Five One (CTF-51) from 2014-2015, where she was promoted to Chief Petty Officer.

During her next sea tour, she served aboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) from 2016-2019 and later at Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific Detachment San Diego (NIWC PAC) from 2019-2022, where she was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer. 

Senior Chief Douglas’ decorations include Navy Commendation Medal (1), the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (7 awards), and various unit and campaign awards. 

She is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy and received her associate degree in General Studies from the University of Phoenix in 2007. She received her Baccalaureate degree in Information Technology Management in 2020 and her master’s degree in Cyber Security/Spec: Information Assurance and Security in 2021 with honors from National University. 

She currently serves as the Senior Enlisted Leader and Spectrum Manager of Commander, Amphibious Squadron FIVE (CPR-5).
