Senior Chief Walker is a native of Columbus, Indiana. He is a 2003 graduate of Columbus East High School, Columbus, Indiana. He began his naval career in September 2003 reporting to Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois.

Following Recruit Training Command, Senior Chief Walker received orders to Pensacola, Florida where he attended, Naval Aircrew Candidate School, Rescue Swimmer School and lastly, Naval Aircrewmen "A" School. He then attended Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron TEN as a Fleet Replacement Aircrewman on Naval Air Station North Island (NASNI), San Diego, California followed by Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape Training in Warner Springs, California.

Senior Chief Walker’s first duty assignment was with Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron FOURTEEN in Atsugi, Japan where he deployed onboard the USS Kitty Hawk, USS Cowpens, and USS Lassen. While assigned, he completed six patrols in support of OPERATIONS ENDURING FREEDOM. Senior Chief Walker’s next duty assignment was to Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron FOUR, San Diego, California where he deployed onboard the USS Ronald Regan for one deployment. Upon completion of his first sea tour, Senior Chief Walker then reported to the Center of Naval Aviation Training Unit North Island where he instructed Tactical Oceanography, acoustics and Inverse Synthetic Aperture Radar, earning the Master Training Specialist qualification. Senior Chief Walker then reported to Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron FOURTEEN in June 2018. He completed 2 deployments onboard the USS John C. Stennis in support of Freedom of Navigation Operations in the South China Sea and SEVENTH FLEET. While assigned, he served as Aircrew Leading Petty Officer, HSC-14 NATOPS Instructor, and Command Drug and Alcohol Advisor. He graduated from Sea Hawk Weapons and Tactics Instructor School and was selected to Chief Petty Officer. In June 2018, Senior Chief Walker reported to the MERLINS of Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron THREE. During this assignment, he instructed 150 Sailors to become Naval Aircrew Warfare Specialists and MH-60S Naval Aircrewmen. He was selected to Senior Chief Petty Officer in July, 2021 and transferred to Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron FOUR (HSC-4).

Senior Chief Walker is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 256/Gold), CMC/COB school (Class 23070), and currently serves as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for USS CANBERRA (LCS-30). His awards include two Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, four Navy and four Marine Corps Achievement medals, and various other personal and unit awards.
