Command Senior Chief Lowell V Waddell III, a native of San Diego, Calif. and a graduate of El Capitan High School, entered the Navy in August 2001. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Resource and Technology Management from Troy University and holds a Master’s of Science in Human Resource Management Suma Cum Laude from Strayer University. He is a Graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Brown Group, Class 255).
At sea, he served aboard USS George Washington (CVN 73); Assualt Craft Unit ONE (ACU-1) as second engineer on LCU-1629; USS Taylor (FFG 50); and aboard USS Frank Cable (AS 40) as the Department Leading Chief Petty Officer of Safety, Indoctrination and Training.
Ashore, he served at Navy Recruiting District New England; Division One NRS Sylva North Carolina as the Leading Chief Petty Officer for Western North Carolina; Senior Enlisted Delayed Entry Program Manager for Navy Recruiting District Raleigh, N.C; Surface Division Eleven, where he was selected for Command Senior Chief.
He currently serves as the Command Senior Chief of the USS Cincinnati (LCS 20).
His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal (eight awards), as well as other personal, unit and campaign awards.
