Command Master Chief Gallegos reported to Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois in October of 1995. Upon completion of basic training he attended Storekeeper “A” School in Meridian, Mississippi.
His Sea duty assignments include USS Chosin (CG-65) Pearl Harbor, HI; USS Lake Erie (CG-70) Pearl Harbor, HI; USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) Bremerton, WA; USS Ronal Reagan (CVN-76) Yokosuka, JA.
His Shore Duty assignments include NAVSUP FLC KITSAP, Silverdale WA; Navy Expeditionary Guard Battalion, Cuba; Afloat Training Group Middle Pacific, Pearl Harbor, HI; and Afloat Training Group, Pacific Northwest, and completed Individual Augments to Afghanistan, and Camp Lemmonier, Djibouti.
Master Chief Gallegos reported to USS Rafael Peralta (DDG-115) May, 2023 and assumed the duties as the Command Master Chief.
His personal awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (six awards), Army Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (six awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Colombia College, Missouri. He is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 190 and COB/CMC Class 23080.
