Past Command Senior Chief, USS Omaha (LCS 12) Blue Crew

30 May 2023 Senior Chief Petty Officer Chad Coutcher is a native of Toledo, Ohio. He received his high school diploma from Maumee High School in 1995, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in March of 2003 and graduated from Operations Specialist “A” school in July of 2003. Senior Chief earned his Bachelor of the Arts, with a concentration in leadership and management, from the University of Toledo and is enrolled in their graduate program. He graduated from the Senior Enlisted Academy in June of 2021.

His sea duties include USS Jarrett (FFG 33); USS Philippine Sea (CG 58); USS Zumwalt (DDG 1000); and USS Shoup.

His shore duties include Navy Recruiting District Ohio; Navy Operational Support Center, Toledo, Ohio; and Afloat Training Group San Diego.

He is currently serving aboard USS Omaha (LCS 12) Blue crew, homeported in San Diego, as the Command Senior Chief.

Senior Chief Coutcher has been awarded the Navy and Marine Corp Commendation Medal (3), Navy and Marine Corp Achievement Medal (8), Military Outstanding Voluntary Service Medal and several other unit level awards.
