Senior Chief Zachary Troxler is a native of Wenatchee, Washington.

Senior Chief Troxler enlisted in the United States Navy in July of 1999, only a month after graduating from Eastmont High School. After completing bootcamp at RTC, Great Lakes, Senior Chief Troxler reported to FC “A” school at NTC Great Lakes. Upon completion of FC “A” school he reported to MK15 CIWS “C” school in San Diego, CA.

Upon completion of MK15 CIWS school in December of 2000, Senior Chief Troxler reported to USS SAMUEL ELLIOT MORRISON (FFG 13), homeported in Mayport, Florida. In April of 2002, Senior Chief Troxler conducted a crew swap from USS SAMUEL ELLIOT MORRISON to USS ESTOCIN (FFG 15). In March of 2003 the USS ESTOCIN was sold to Turkey and he was retrained to an AEGIS MK99 FCS technician enroute to PRECOM USS MOMSEN (DDG 92) homeported in Everett, Washington where he finished his first sea tour.

In August of 2006, Senior Chief Troxler reported to NRD Seattle as a production recruiter where he was promoted to First Class Petty Officer. After a successful tour of recruiting he reported to ATRC Dahlgren, VA to be retrained as an ACNT technician and an Aegis Weapon Supervisor.

In March of 2011, Senior Chief Troxler reported to USS MOMSEN (DDG-92) in Everett, Washington as the CF LPO. There he also became the Assistant Combat System Maintenance Manager and DLPO. He successfully led his division and department through 2 C5F/C7F deployments while qualifying CSOOW, CSC, ATTWO and AAWC.

In July of 2016, Senior Chief Troxler reported to NRD Raleigh as the Leading Petty Officer of NRS Sylva, where he was promoted to Chief Petty Officer.

Senior Chief Troxler reported to USS STERETT (DDG 104) in December 2019 as the CF Division Leading Chief Petty Officer. He led CF Division through an 10 month COVID C5F/C7F deployment, where he was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer and earned his Enlisted Air Warfare Specialist device.

Senior Chief Troxler reported to USS SHOUP (DDG 86) in April of 2022 as the Combat Systems Maintenance Manager and the Department Leading Chief Petty Officer. He is currently Command Senior Enlisted Leader onboard USS SHOUP.

His awards include the Navy Marine Corps Achievement Medal (10 awards) and various campaign and unit awards.
