In October 2003, he was selected and attended Master at Arms “A” School in Little Creek, Va. In January 2004, he reported to Naval Air Station Key West, FL where he was promoted to MA2 and was a qualified watch Commander. In February 2007 he transferred to Maritime Expeditionary Squadron 7, Det 712, forward deployed to Guam. While stationed there he was promoted to MA1, qualified as a Tactical supervisor and earned his Enlisted Expeditionary Warfare insignia while deployed to both C7F, and C5F in support of OIF, and counter-piracy. In February 2010 he transferred to Marine Corps Security Forces Battalion, Kings Bay Ga, in support of Strategic Weapons Facilities Atlantic. While working alongside the Marines, he earned his Nuclear Weapons Security Insignia. In July 2013, he was promoted to Chief and reported to Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery, Maine, as the Police Operations Chief in direct support of the defueling of decommissioned submarines. In 2015 he reported to the USS Vicksburg (CG 69), homeported in Mayport, Fl as the ship’s Chief Master At Arms. Following the Deactivation of the Cruiser, Senior Rojas reported to the Precom unit Portland in July of 2016 where he participated in the commissioning of the USS Portland (LPD 27). Homported in San Diego, Senior Chief Rojas participated in RIMPAC 2017, and the laser Weapons System Demonstrator testing. In June 2021, Senior Chief Rojas reported to Assault Craft Unit ONE, homeported in Coronado, Ca where he was promoted to Senior Chief. Senior Rojas was redistributed to USNS Mercy (T AH 19) in March 2022 and deployed in support of Pacific Partnership 2022 alongside Commander, Amphibious Squadron THREE. While attached to MERCY, Senior Chief Rojas was selected for the Command Senior Enlisted Leader program and reported to the PCU John L. Canley (ESB 6) GOLD crew in May 2023. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Excelsior College and graduated from the Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 258 Purple) and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course (Class 23080). His decorations include the Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (four awards) various unit, campaign and service awards.
