CDR Megan E. Ricker

Executive Officer, USS Manchester (LCS 14)

28 March 2024 A native of Bremerton, Washington, Commander Ricker graduated from University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts in History and English in March 2007 and earned her Master’s Degree in Education from Liberty University in December 2014.  She was commissioned through Officer Candidate School, Officer Training Command, Newport, Rhode Island in February 2009.
 
After completing her initial training, she reported to USS THE SULLIVANS (DDG 68) as the Operations Intelligence Division Officer in April 2009 and fleeted up to serve as the Fire Control Officer.  She completed her department head tours on USS STERETT (DDG 104) as the Weapons Officer, Senior Watch Officer, and Combat Systems Officer. 
 
Her first shore tour was at Training Support Center San Diego from 2013-2016 where she served as Fleet Training Liaison Officer and Deputy of Student Management. Her second shore tour was at Commander, Naval Surface Forces Pacific as the Force Combat Systems Officer.
 
Her awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (five awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various campaign and service awards.
