Command Senior Chief Lowell V Waddell III, a native of San Diego, Calif. and a graduate of El Capitan High School, entered the Navy in August 2001. He earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Resource and Technology Management from Troy University and holds a Master’s of Science in Human Resource Management Summa Cum Laude from Strayer University. He is a Graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy (Brown Group, Class 255) and CMC/COB Course (Class 23070).
At sea, he served aboard USS George Washington (CVN 73); Assault Craft Unit ONE (ACU-1) as second engineer on LCU-1629; USS Taylor (FFG 50); and aboard USS Frank Cable (AS 40) as the Department Leading Chief Petty Officer of Safety, Indoctrination and Training.
Ashore, he served at Navy Recruiting District New England; Division One NRS Sylva North Carolina as the Leading Chief Petty Officer for Western North Carolina; Senior Enlisted Delayed Entry Program Manager for Navy Recruiting District Raleigh, N.C; ISIC 3MC for Surface Division Eleven, during his time there he was selected for Command Senior Chief and was the CSEL for USS Cincinnati (LCS 20).
He currently serves as the Command Senior Chief of USS MANCHETER (LCS 14) GOLD.
His personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medal (eight awards), and various personal, unit and campaign awards.
