Master Chief Green was raised in Phoenix, Arizona and enlisted in the Navy on July 31, 2000 and reported to Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois.
Upon Completion of recruit training, he reported to Basic Enlisted Submarine School (BESS) in Groton, Connecticut for training.
In August 2001 he reported to the USS Cheyenne (SSN 773) in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. While onboard he completed two Western Pacific deployments in U.S. Fifth and Seventh Fleets. During his tour he served as the Navy Veteran lead petty officer, and was advanced to second and then first class petty officer.
In July 2006 he reported to the Staff of Submarine Squadron 11 in Point Loma, California as the operations division leading petty officer and later as the assistant navigator. During his tour at COMSUBRON ELEVEN he qualified assistant navigator onboard USS Hampton (SSN 767), and was certified as assistant navigator at COMSUBRON ELEVEN.
In September of 2009 he reported to USS Hampton (SSN 767) in Point Loma, California as the assistant navigator, and later took the duties as the navigation operations enlisted advisor as well. During his tour aboard Hampton he ensured the safe navigation of the ship as it deployed twice. Once to the U.S. Fifth Fleet and once to the Seventh Fleet. While onboard Hampton he qualified as chief of the boat.
In February of 2014 he reported to the COMSUBPAC TRE Team, as the assistant navigator and assumed the duties of the COMSUBPAC Force assistant navigator.
In January 2017 he reported to USS Hampton (SSN 767) and relieved as the chief of the boat, later he relived onboard USS Scranton (SSN 756) in January 2018. While assigned to the Iron Horse he deployed to U.S. Seventh Fleet.
In September 2019 he relieved as the senior enlisted leader of Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Detachment San Diego in Point Loma, California.
In June 2020 he relieved as the SUBRON 11 command master chief. While assigned the squadron deployed six submarines, three in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In August 2023 he reported to USS Pinckney (DDG 91) and relieved as command master chief.
