CMDCM Paul A. Green

Command Master Chief, USS Sampson (DDG 102)

28 December 2023 Master Chief Paul A. Green hails from Elgin, IL and entered the Navy in February 1998 as a Damage Controlman.

Master Chief Green's sea duty assignments include: USS BLUE RIDGE (LCC 19), USS CUSHING (DD 985), USS KITTY HAWK (CV 63), USS JOHN S. MCCAIN (DDG 56), USS VANDEGRIFT (FFG 48), USS SOMERSET (LPD 25) and USS RONALD REAGAN (CVN-76).

His shore duty assignments include: Center for Naval Engineering Learning Site Pearl Harbor, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Training and Evaluation Unit ONE, Expeditionary Strike Group SEVEN / Task Force SEVEN SIX and Naval Surface Group Western Pacific detachment Sasebo.

Throughout his career, he has completed multiple arduous at-sea deployments in the THIRD, FIFTH, SIXTH, and SEVENTH Fleet areas of responsibilities.

He was selected for the Command Master Chief (CMC) Program in 2023 and currently serves onboard USS SAMPSON (DDG 102).

Master Chief Green is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 192 (Brown) and CMC/COB Course Class 24020.

Master Chief Green is qualified as an Enlisted Surface, Expeditionary and Aviation Warfare Specialist. His awards include multiple Navy Battle Efficiency, Sea Service Deployment and Overseas Service ribbons and other various personal, service, unit and campaign awards.
