CDR Michael A. Mullee

Executive Officer, USS Anchorage (LPD 23)

18 January 2024 Commander Michael Mullee is a native of Huntington Beach, California.  He graduated as a Distinguished Graduate from the United States Naval Academy in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Honors English. He also earned a Master of Arts degree in Defense and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College in 2023.  

CDR Mullee’s sea duty assignments include tours in USS HALSEY (DDG 97) as the Electronic Warfare Officer, Communications Officer, and Assistant Weapons Officer and as Chief Engineer in USS PAUL HAMILTON (DDG 60) and USS SOMERSET (LPD 25).

Ashore CDR Mullee served as the Aide to the Civilian Deputy of CJIATF 435 in Kabul, Afghanistan, and as a Senate Liaison with the Office of Legislative Affairs.  He also served as Expeditionary Strike Group THREE Deputy Assistant Chief of Staff for Material Readiness and as a diesel and gas turbine MOB-E Project Officer and Assessor with Engineering Assessments Pacific.

CDR Mullee’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (six awards), Army Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various campaign and unit awards.
