CMDCM John Shubert

Past COMMAND MASTER CHIEF, USS SAVANNAH (LCS 28) GOLD CREW

15 March 2024 Command Master Chief John Shubert is a native of WaKeeney, Kansas. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy on 22 August, 2005 and entered Basic Training at RTC Great Lakes. After completing Information Systems Technician “A” School he reported to USNS CORONADO (T-AGF-11).

His sea duty assignments include USS GRIDLEY (DDG 101), USS RUSHMORE (LSD 47), USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN 72), Combined Joint Special Operations Air Detachment – Arabian Peninsula, Balad, Iraq, and the Command Senior Enlisted Leader for USS CHARLESTON (LCS 18) Gold Crew.
 

Other assignments include Information Warfare Training Center, San Diego and Southwest Regional Maintenance Center. He is currently assigned as the Command Master Chief on board USS SAVANNAH (LCS 28) Gold Crew.
 

Master Chief Shubert is authorized to wear the Enlisted Surface, Information, and Expeditionary Warfare Specialist insignias. He is a graduate of Fort Hays State University with a Bachelors in General Studies with an emphasis in Information Technology and Networking and is an Honor Graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 222. His awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
