CDR Blake Wanier

EXECUTIVE OFFICER, USS TULSA (LCS 16) GOLD CREW

17 May 2024 Cmdr. Blake Wanier, a native of Sacramento, California, graduated from The United States Naval Academy with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics. He holds a Masters of Science in Undersea Warfare and Operations Research from the Naval Postgraduate School.

At sea, Cmdr. Wanier served his division officer tours onboard USS Blue Ridge (LCC 19), and USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), his department head tours as Operations Officer onboard USS Germantown (LSD 42), and Main Propulsion Assistant onboard USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76).

Ashore, he worked in Nuclear Programs at COMNAVPERSCOM, and the lead Naval Exercise Planner at U.S. Africa Command.

Cmdr. Wanier is currently the Executive Officer of USS Tulsa (LCS 16) Gold Crew.

His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (one award), the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), the Navy Achievement Medal (two awards), and various unit, campaign, and service medals and ribbons.
