CDR Joshua A. Riley

EXECUTIVE OFFICER, USS CINCINNATI (LCS 20)

23 May 2024 Cmdr. Joshua Riley, a native of Lanark, Il., graduated from Marquette University is a Bachelor of Science in Criminology and Law Studies in 2008 and earned a commission through Marquette’s Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC).  He holds a Master’s degree in Operations Management from the University of Arkansas.

At sea, he served as 1^st Lieutenant aboard USS Crommelin (FFG 37); Auxiliaries Officer aboard USS Ford (FFG 54); Combat Systems Officer and Operations Officer aboard USS Coronado (LCS 4); and the Maintenance and Material Officer at Amphibious Squadron Five (CPR 5).

Ashore, he served as a Naval Science Instructor at Iowa State University’s NROTC.

His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 Awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Association Leadership Award, and various campaign and unit awards including the Battle “E” Excellence Award.
