Command Master Chief Patrick H. Duffy is a native of Bloomingdale, IL and graduated from Lake Park High School Class of 2005. He enlisted in the Navy on January 24th, 2006. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Center, Great Lakes, IL he completed Damage Control “A” school at Training Support Center Great Lakes.
His sea duty assignments include the USS Nashville (LPD 13) Norfolk VA, USS Roosevelt (DDG 80) Mayport FL, USS Sirocco (PC 6) Bahrain, Plank Owner of USS John Finn (DDG 113) San Diego CA, and USS Green Bay (LPD 20) Sasebo Japan. During these tours, he deployed to the Arabian Gulf, Mediterranean and Pacific. Ashore, he has served at Naval Air Station Key West and Afloat Training Group Western Pacific.
In February 2024 he was selected to the Command Senior Chief program and reported aboard USS Pioneer (MCM 9) in May 2024, home ported in Sasebo, Japan. Additionally, Master Chief Duffy is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 255) and CMC/COB Course (Class 24080), and has earned his Afloat Training Specialist and Master Training Specialist designations.
He holds a Master Degree in Public Administration, and Bachelors in Fire Science from Purdue University. His decorations and awards include the Navy Commendation Medal (4 Gold Stars), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 Gold Stars), Good Conduct Medal (5 Stars), and various other unit and campaign awards.
