Chief Logistics Specialist Ivy Jane Ibarra Villareal is a native of Manila, Philippines. In 2005, she migrated to the United States and settled in Fresno, CA. In 2010, she reported to RTC Great Lakes and after graduating from boot camp, she attended Logistics Specialist “A” School followed by Expeditionary Combat School in Gulfport, Mississippi. 

In the same year, she reported to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion THREE in Port Hueneme, CA, where she was assigned as Central Storeroom Custodian, Supply Clerk, and later became part of the Training Department. Her deployments included Horn of Africa, Japan, and Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. During her tour, she advanced to Second Class and qualified as a Seabee Combat Warfare Specialist.

In 2015, she transferred to Naval Construction Group ONE, where she performed the duties of Active Requisition Table Manager, Financials Clerk, Contracts Manager, and Government Commercial Purchase Card Holder. Her collateral duties included Training Petty Officer and Assistant Command Fitness Leader. During her tour, she advanced to First Class and received a Master of Science Degree in Leadership and Management with University of La Verne, CA.

In 2018, she transferred to Airborne Command & Control Squadron (VAW) 117 homeported in Point Mugu, CA. Her duties included Aircraft Maintenance Material Readiness Manager, Tool Control Program, and Metrology and Calibration Program Manager. Additionally, she was the Assistant Command Career Counselor.  During her tour, she qualified as Enlisted Air Warfare and Surface Warfare Specialist, while aboard the USS John C. Stennis for deployment.

In 2021, she transferred to Assault Craft Unit One homeported at Naval Amphibious Base, Coronado, CA. She was assigned as the Leading Petty Officer for S4 Department and was the GCPC Approving Official for Supply. The following year, she advanced to the rank of Chief Petty Officer and was redistributed to Mine Countermeasure Technical Division (MCMTD). Later that year, she was transferred to Naval Surface and Mine Warfighting Development Center and was assigned as the Department Leading Chief Petty Officer for N1/4.

Chief Villareal’s awards include a COM, NAM (7th), MOVSM (2nd), GWOT Service and Expeditionary, and various unit awards.
