Command Senior Chief Petty Officer (Surface Warfare/Fleet Marine Force) Savannah L. Dukes, a native of Sumter, South Carolina, enlisted in the Navy in December 2007. Following completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois, she reported to Naval Technical Training Center Meridian, Mississippi, completing Personnel Specialist “A” School. 

Her assignments include tours at Personnel Support Detachment Joint Base Charleston, South Carolina (2008-2012), 1st Medical Battalion, Camp Pendleton, California (2012-2016) and Center for Service Support Learning Site San Diego as the Personnel Specialist “C” and “F” school Course Manager and Instructor (2016-2020), and USS SOMERSET (LPD 25) as the Executive Department Leading Chief Petty Officer (2020-2022), and Transaction Service Center San Diego as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader (2022-2024). 

Senior Chief Dukes’ deployments include: 2014 Regional Command Southwest (1st Medical Battalion) in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. She attached to Combat Logistics Battalion 7 and Combat Logistics Battalion 1 as the sole pay and personnel support for I Marine Expeditionary Force (MEF) and II MEF; 2020-2021 USS SOMERSET (LPD 25). 

She reported to Mine Countermeasures Group Three in June of 2024 and is the Command Senior Chief. 

She is an Honor Graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 221 (Khaki) and graduate of the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course, Class 24010. She holds a Master of Science in Strategic Leadership and Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from the University of Charleston. She is a certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt and Post-Secondary Instructor, and qualified Master Training Specialist. 

Her personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (two awards), as well as other personal, unit and campaign awards.
