Command Senior Chief, USS Gabrielle Giffords (LCS 10) Blue Crew

11 September 2024 Senior Chief Dunk, enlisted in the United States Navy from Racine, WI.  Following the completion of basic training, at Recruit Training Command (RTC), Great Lakes, IL, he attended Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center (FASW), San Diego, CA, where he completed SONAR Technician “A” School, Active SONAR and Auxiliary Maintenance, and AN/SQQ-53C and AN/SQS-56 Operations courses of instruction.

His Sea Tours include USS INGRAHAM (FFG 61), Everett, WA, where he served as LPO and SONAR Supervisor completing two 5th and 7th Fleet WESTPAC Deployments.  USS MUSTIN (DDG 89),Yokosuka, JN, where he served as CA Division LCPO, Japanese Liaison Naval Officer (on five Japanese Maritime Self Defense Force ships), and SONAR Supervisor, completing eight 7th Fleet patrols, and earned the exclusive Pacific Fleet ASW Bloodhound Award (2017) and Battle Efficiency Award PACFLT 2017. USS PRINCETON (CG 59) as Weapons Department LCPO, through a 7th Fleet Deployment and resulting in Battle Efficiency Award PACFLT 2023. 

Shore assignments include Commander of Submarine Group Pacific Navy Data Center (CSPNDC), Yokosuka, JN, as Training Department LPO, Japanese Translator, Tactical Watch Coordinator, and Tactical Watch Officer. His second shore assignment was at Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Center, San Diego, CA, as SONAR Department LCPO, STG “A” School LCPO, and AN/SQS-53C A(V)15 Operations LCPO.
  
He is currently serving onboard USS GABRIELLE GIFFORDS (LCS 10) as the Senior Enlisted Advisor and Command Senior Chief. 

Certified as a Post-Secondary Instructor, currently pursuing a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology, and Japanese Language Proficiency Level N3 (JLPT N3) certification. He has earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare (4 times), Enlisted Aviation Warfare, and Integrated Undersea Surveillance Specialist designations. Additionally, he’s earned Master Training Specialist, Surface Ship Anti-Submarine Warfare Specialist qualifications, graduated from the Senior Enlisted Academy (SEA) class 242 and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat (CMC/COB) class 24110.  

His decorations include multiple Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, multiple Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, and various unit and campaign awards.
