Command Senior Chief, USS PATRIOT (MCM 7)

24 September 2024 Command Senior Chief Abalos is a native of Dagupan City, Philippines.  He entered active Naval service in June 2005 and reported to Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois.  Upon completion of recruit training, he attended Dental Technician “A” school in Wichita Falls, Texas. 

His previous tours include Naval Branch Health Clinic New London, Groton, CT; Preventive Medicine Technician “C” School, San Diego, CA; USS Harpers Ferry (LSD-49), Sasebo, JA; USS Germantown (LSD-42), Sasebo JA; Naval Hospital Yokosuka, JA; U.S. Naval Central Command/FIFTH Fleet, Manama, BH; Forward Deployable Preventive Medicine Unit Team Four, San Diego, CA, and Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Yokosuka, JA. 

Senior Chief Abalos was selected for the Command Senior Chief Program in February 2024.  He is a graduate of the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy Class 226 (Brown Group) and CMC/COB Course Class 24110 .  He earned a B.S. in Health Science from Trident University International. 

Senior Chief Abalos’ awards include, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (4 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (2 awards), and various unit and campaign awards. 

He is authorized to wear the Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Information Warfare Specialist insignias.
