Command Senior Chief, USS Augusta (LCS 34)

25 October 2024 Command Senior Chief Larry Booker, a Lufkin, Texas native, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in December 2000. He graduated from SM “A” school March 2001. He graduated from Operations Specialist “A” School January 2004. CMDCS Booker was selected for the Command Senior Enlisted Program in 2024.

At sea, he served onboard USS Anchorage (LSD-36), USS Bunker Hill (CG-52), Fleet Maritime Patrol Mobile Operations Control Center Mediterranean in Sigonella, Sicily, Commander Task Force 52 (CTF-52) and USS Arleigh Burke (DDG-51). His current assignment is as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader of USS Augusta (LCS 34).

Ashore, he served onboard Navy Recruiting District Dallas, Navy Recruiting District New Orleans and Navy Talent Acquisition Group Pacific Northwest in Seattle, Washington.

Command Senior Chief Booker holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and a Associates degree in Elementary Education. He is a graduate of the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, 244 (Blue) and CMC/COB Course.

His decorations include: Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and various service and campaign medals
