CDR Andrew Bingham

Executive Officer, USS Mobile (LCS 26)

A native of Huntington Beach, California, Commander Andrew Bingham graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Relations. He also graduated from the United States Naval War College in 2023 with a Master of Arts degree in Defense and Strategic Studies and JPME Phase 1 Credit. While at USNWC, he completed the Maritime Advanced Warfighting School receiving the Joint Planner AQD.

CDR Bingham’s sea duty assignments include USS HALYBURTON (FFG 40) as the Ordnance Officer and First Lieutenant, USS BOONE (FFG 28) as the Damage Control Assistant and LCS Crew 214 where he pre-commissioned both USS MANCHESTER (LCS 14) as the Combat Systems Officer and USS CINCINNATI (LCS 20) as the Operations Officer. Most recently, he served as Executive Officer USS GABRIELLE GIFFORDS (LCS 10) Gold. He has deployed to the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th Fleet areas of operations. CDR Bingham completed an individual augmentee deployment to US Forces, Afghanistan in the J-35 and as the Deputy Chief of Staff for USFOR-A in Kabul, Afghanistan.

Ashore, CDR Bingham has served as Enlisted Bonus Pay Program Manager for OPNAV N130 and Deputy Executive Assistant and Aide for Deputy CNO for Infrastructure and Logistics, OPNAV N4.

CDR Bingham’s personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Joint Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (with Gold Star), the Joint Service Achievement Medal and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (with three Gold Stars) as well as multiple unit and service awards
