CDR Kyle A. Sullivan

Kyle A. Sullivan is a native of Grapevine, Texas, and commissioned via the University of Texas NROTC program in 2009.

At sea, he served as Combat Information Center Officer onboard USS COWPENS (CG 63); Anti-Submarine Warfare Officer onboard USS MUSTIN (DDG 89); Weapons Officer and Combat Systems Officer onboard USS BENFOLD (DDG 65). CDR Sullivan most recently completed a sea tour as N9 and Sea Combat N3 assigned to the Destroyer Squadron Fifteen (CDS 15) / Commander, Task Force Seventy One (CTF 71) staff.

Ashore, he earned a Master's degree in Eurasian Security Affairs from Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California and qualified as an Integrated Air and Missile Defense Warfare Tactics Instructor. He served as an instructor at Surface Warfare Schools Command, and as an Executive Officer of the Russia Strategic Initiative at U.S. European Command.

CDR Sullivan currently serves as the Executive Officer onboard USS BARRY (DDG 52).

His personal decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various service and campaign awards.
