CDR Nathaniel C. Fetting

22 November 2024 Commander Nathaniel Fetting is a native of Angier, NC. Commander Fetting graduated in 2008 from The Citadel, the Military College of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, receiving his Commission through the NROTC Program.

At sea, he served as Electronic Warfare Officer and MP Division Officer in USS BAINBRIDGE (DDG 96); Navigator in USS MESA VERDE (LPD 19); Chief Engineer in USS NITZE (DDG 94) and USS VELLA GULF (CG 72); Materials Officer (N4) for COMDESRON TWO in Norfolk, VA; and Executive Officer in USS CAPE ST GEORGE (CG 71).

Ashore, he attended the Naval Postgraduate School where he earned a Master of Arts in National Security Affairs with a focus in Latin America; Served as an instructor at Officer Training Command NEWPORT; Deputy Executive Assistant, OPNAV N95; and Flag Aide, OPNAV N9.

Commander Fetting’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (three awards).
