Command Master Chief Navarro is a native of California and graduated from St. Mary’s High School. He enlisted in the Navy in August of 2001 and attended Basic Recruit Training in Great Lakes, Illinois followed by Sonar Technician (Surface) “A” School in Point Loma, CA.
His sea duty assignments include USS RUSSELL (DDG 59) in Pearl Harbor, HI, USS STETHEM (DDG 63) in Yokosuka, Japan, and USS DANIEL INOUYE (DDG 118) in Pearl Harbor, HI. Ashore he was assigned to Naval Oceanographic Processing Facility, Dam Neck in Virginia Beach, VA, Fleet Anti-Submarine Warfare Training Center in Point Loma, CA, Naval and Pre-Commissioning Unit DDG 118 in San Diego, CA and Bath, ME.
Command Master Chief Navarro holds a Masters Degree in Education and Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management. He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy Class 227. His personal awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy Achievement Medal (five awards), and various campaign and service awards.
