CDR Clinton Cabe is a native of Bulverde, Texas, and a 2009 graduate of Texas A&M University, where he holds a Bachelor of Science degree and was commissioned through Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps. He holds a Master’s Degree from Naval Post Graduate School in Monterey, California. His first afloat assignment was to USS WILLIAM P. LAWRENCE (DDG 110) as a plankowner where he served as the 1st Lieutenant and Auxiliaries Officer. He then fleeted-up and served as the Weapons Officer and Force Protection Officer, deploying to the 5th Fleet AOR. As a Department Head, he served on USS DECATUR (DDG 73) as Operations Officer and Combat Systems Officer, deploying to the 5th Fleet AOR and surge deploying in support of C7F BMD tasking. Following his Department Head tours, he served on Carrier Strike Group Nine staff, embarked on USS THEODORE ROOSEVELT (CVN 71) as the Strike Officer.
Ashore, he completed his Master’s Degree and JPME Phase 1 from Naval Postgraduate School in 2016. Most recently, he completed a tour at Afloat Training Group San Diego in the N83 directorate as a Senior Assessor for Mariner Skills.
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, as well as multiple unit and service awards.
