Commander Martin Dineen Jr, a native of Ormond Beach, FL. Graduated from the Naval Academy, class of 2009, with a Bachelor of Science in History. He holds a Master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and a graduate of the Naval Staff College 2024.

Afloat, CDR Dineen completed division officers tours aboard USS DOYLE (FFG 39) as Ordnance Officer and Boarding Officer with two SOUTHCOM deployments. Navigator on USS ARLINGTON (LPD 24) part of ARLINGTON commissioning crew. He served as Training Officer at Coastal Riverine Squadron Four, completing two FIFTH FLEET deployments. He completed his department head tours aboard USS NEW YORK (LPD 21) as NEW YORK’s first Plans and Tactics Officer. There he led NEW YORK as their lead Tactical Planner and Senior Watch Officer during a SIX FLEET deployment and Trident Juncture 2017, he was awarded CSG 8 2018 Junior Officer Award for Tactics Excellence.

He joined USS KEARSARGE (LHD 3) as Navigator, Senior Watch Officer, and Force Navigator for KRGARG. CDR Dineen Commanded USS MONSOON (PC 4), USS WHIRLWIND (PC 11), and USS SIROCCO (PC 6), all forward deployed in
Bahrain.

CDR Dineen’s personal awards include Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various unit and campaign awards.
