Command Master Chief Shaun Cox is a native of Daytona Beach Florida and he enlisted in the world’s greatest Navy out of Miami, Florida on November 5th, 2007. He is a graduate of the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 248), Command Master Chief and Chief of the Boat Course.
Command Master Chief Cox’s tours in the fleet include USS PHILIPPINE SEA (CG 58) in Mayport, Florida as the Repair Division Work Center Supervisor, RIVERINE GROUP TWO in Little Creek, Virginia as a Riverine Operator and Leading Petty Officer, USS DONALD COOK (DDG 75) in Rota, Spain as the Leading Petty Officer and Chief Petty Officer, USS CARNEY (DDG 64) in Rota, Spain as Leading Chief Petty Officer, and the Mobile Diving Salvage Unit ONE in Pearl Harbor as N43 Department Head which led to his selection for the Command Senior Enlisted Leader program.
Ashore, he served as the Fire Safety Officer for Ships Repair Facility in Yokosuka, Japan where he managed all standards and training of 8010 industrial firefighting efforts. Additionally, he served as the Senior Enlisted Advisor for USMEPCOM 4th Battalion and Pittsburgh Military Entrance Processing Station.
Command Master Chief Cox’s awards include Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (2 awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy Achievement Medal (5 awards) and various unit awards.
