CMDCS (SW) Recardo Wright

COMMAND SENIOR ENLISTED LEADER, USS FORT WORTH (LCS 3)

15 November 2025 A native of Sylvania, Georgia, CMDCS Wright enlisted in the United States Navy on 28 August 2002 at Jacksonville, FL. Upon completion of recruit training in Great Lakes, IL, he attended Electrician’s Mate “A” School.

In May 2003, CMDCS Wright reported to his first command, USS George Washington (CVN 73) During his tour, he qualified Chief Electrical Watch (CEW) He completed a SECOND fleet deployment in support of Operation IRAQ FREEDOM. His second sea tour was onboard USS San Antonio (LPD 17) where he served as the top Electrical Plant Control Operator.

His following commands include Trident Refit Facility (TRF) Kings Bay, GA Where he contributed to the outside electrical division in support of the submarine missions; USS Curtis Wilbur (DDG 54), home ported Yokosuka, Japan where he excelled as the Electrical division Leading petty Officer and supported Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) missions in the SEVENTH fleet AOR; USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) where he was promoted to Chief petty officer in 2015; COMLCSRON TWO Mayport, FL, where he served as the senior electrical assessor for the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Freedom class; COMDESRON SEVEN, Singapore where he was the DLCPO and ship supervisor for the LCS Independence-class.

In 2022, CMDCS Wright reported to Commander Naval Surface Group CENTRAL(CNSGC), Bahrain where he was the Engineering lead assessor and was promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer. He is a graduate of U.S Navy Senior Enlisted Academy
(Class 273/Khaki) and CMC/COB Class 26010. He served as the Senior Enlisted Leader onboard USS Sentry (MCM 3) and got selected in the CSEL program in March 2025 and is currently the CMDCS onboard USS Fort Worth (LCS 3).

CMDCS Wright’s military decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (Four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (Four awards), and numerous unit awards.
