Senior Chief Travious Givens

COMMAND SENIOR CHIEF, USS TULSA (LCS 16) GOLD CREW

01 January 2026 Command Senior Chief Givens is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He received recruit training at Great Lakes, Illinois in March 2006, and reported to MM "A" School at Great Lakes, Illinois, in June 2006. His first duty assignment was aboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) from October 2006 to June 2011. 

His follow on duty assignments include USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6) from July 2011 to March 2012, USS Essex (LHD 2) from March 2012 to July 2013, Naval  Special Warfare Basic Training Command from August 2013 to August 2016, USS San Diego (LPD 22) from September 2016 to July 2020 where he was selected for Chief petty officer, USS Makin Island (LHD 8) from August 2020 to December 2021 where he was selected for Senior Chief petty officer, Southwest Regional Maintenance Center from December 2021 to January 2026 

In March 2025 Senior Chief was selected to the Command Senior Chief Program. 

He earned his Associate of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from American Public University in April 2025. He attended Senior Enlisted Academy in August 2023 and CMC/COB course in January 2026. He reported to his first tour as Command Senior Enlisted Leader on USS Tulsa LCS 16 in January 2026. 

His personal awards include Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal); Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (seven awards); Good Conduct Medal (six awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal (MOVSM) and numerous campaign and unit awards.
