Master Chief Wyatt E. Simpson, a native of Austin, Texas, enlisted in the United States Navy in June 1998. Following completion of basic training he reported to Radioman “A” School at Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, Illinois.
 
 His sea service includes two Western Pacific deployments on USS PELELIU (LHA-05), a Global War on Terrorism deployment with Maritime Expeditionary Boat Det 552 (MAREXBOATDET 552), and two Western Pacific deployments onboard USS BOXER (LHD-04). His shore service has included tours with Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activity (SIMA)/Southwest Regional Maintenance Center (SWRMC) San Diego, California, Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Europe in Stuttgart, Germany, Afloat Training Group (ATG) San Diego, California, and Hopper Information Service Center (HISC) Detachment Yokosuka, Japan. He is currently serving as the command’s Senior Enlisted Leader (SEL) and N6A for COMDESRON NINE in Everett, WA.
 
 He is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 211, and the Command Master Chief course, Class 21080. His education includes an Associate’s Degree in General Studies, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity Management and Policy.
 
 His personal awards include the Joint Service Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), and various unit and campaign awards.
