LCDR Kendall S. Scott

Past Executive Officer, USS Cape St. George (CG 71)

03 March 2021 Lieutenant Commander Kendall Scott was a native of Los Angeles California and earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from California State University Dominguez Hills.  In April 2009 he was commissioned as a Surface Warfare Officer from Officer Candidate School, Newport Rhode Island.  

Lieutenant Commander Scott served his first operational tour on USS JOHN PAUL JONES (DDG 53) as the OI Division Officer.  In the summer of 2010 he was sent TAD to FDNF unit USS CURTIS WILBUR (DDG 54) to prepare for Officer of the Deck (OOD) Qualification. After earning his OOD qualification and Surface Warfare pin he transferred to USS RUSHMORE (LSD 47) as the Assistant Operations Officer.  His third operational command was on USS HOPPER (DDG 70) out of Pearl Harbor, HI where he served as Operations Officer.  

During Lieutenant Commander Scott’s shore tour he was assigned as an ISR Acquisition Strategy Manager for COMMANDER NAVAL SPECIAL WARFARE COMMAND headquarters in San Diego, CA. After his tour on HOPPER he worked as N3 at CNSG MIDPAC from Jan-Jul 2018. Lieutenant Commander Scott is currently assigned as Executive Officer on USS CHOSIN (CG 65).   Lieutenant Commander Scott has attended the Department Head School and Maritime Staff Operators Course.

His awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards) and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two awards).
