USS Oakland Gold Underway in 7th Fleet

19 December 2022 NATUNA SEA -- Aviation Electrician’s Mate Airman Daniel Kuriloyoung, assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 35, from Beaverton, Oregon, conducts routine maintenance on the rotors of an MH-60R Sea Hawk, also attached to HSM 35, in the hangar bay aboard Independence-class littoral combat ship USS Oakland (LCS 24) as the ship sails in the Natuna Sea , Jan. 19, 2023. Oakland, part of Destroyer Squadron 7, is on a rotational deployment operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operation to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
