USS Momsen (DDG 92) participates in SILENT FORCES EXERCISE

22 October 2023 GRAU’S SEA (October 22, 2023) Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Genepierre Hermosilla, Seaman Johnathan Ransom, and Fire Controlman (AEGIS) 3rd Class Maximus Bair signal to a Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 49 MH-60R helicopter that they are clear of chocks and chains during flight quarters on Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Momsen (DDG 92). Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Momsen (DDG 92) is participating in Silent Forces Exercise, a U.S.-Peruvian bilateral exercise coordinated between Destroyer Squadron 40 and Peruvian Submarine Force that focuses on anti-submarine warfare proficiency against diesel submarines in the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility.
