10 August 2021 USS Kansas City is a fast, agile, networked surface combatant known as a littoral combat ship (LCS). The LCS is a mission-focused platform designed to operate near the shore against 21st-century coastal threats. The LCS is capable of supporting missions, forward presence, maritime security, sea control, and deterrence. Rear Adm. Robert Nowakowski, Task Force LCS will be joining you on this embark to provide some updates on the Task Force’s work.
