USS Tulsa Exchange of Command

220315-N-LI768-1016 APRA HARBOR, Guam (March 15, 2022) – Cmdr. Brandon Cornes, commanding officer of USS Tulsa (LCS 16) (Blue), right, salutes Capt. Tim Labenz, deputy commodore of Destroyer Squadron (DESRON) 7, during an exchange of command ceremony on the flight deck of the Independence-variant littoral combat ship. Tulsa Blue crew relieved Tulsa Gold following five months of operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet area of operations. Tulsa, part of DESRON 7, is on a rotational deployment, operating in the U.S. 7th Fleet AOR to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force in support of a free and open Indo-Pacific region.
