Congratulations on your orders to

Task Force SEVEN ZERO (CTF70) / Carrier Strike Group FIVE (CSG-5)

Welcome aboard to you and your family, as you join Task Force SEVEN ZERO (CTF70) / Carrier Strike Group FIVE (CSG-5) the Navy's only permanently forward deployed carrier strike group stationed in Yokosuka, Japan.

If you’ve received your orders, please fill out the prospective gain questionnaire and send to sponsor@ctf70.navy.mil where we will assign you with the right sponsor to best meet your needs during your upcoming transfer.

Also please feel free to reach out to our CTF70 Family Ombudsman at ctf70ombudsman@yahoo.com and to our CTF70 Command Master Chief at cmc@ctf70.navy.mil to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have to make your transition as seamless as possible.

While you wait for your sponsors to reply, please see how you can arrange airport shuttle reservations, learn about school programs here, and get useful phone numbers to quickly track down key offices on base including base restaurants offering delivery to Navy Lodge and NGIS guests. The Fleet and Family Support Center (FFSC) has many helpful programs for the whole family, including the Area Orientation Brief/Inter-Cultural Relations class (AOB/ICR) that all new Sailors and adult family members must take upon arrival. Email FFSCinfo@us.navy.mil for more information. Don’t miss the Housing Welcome Center page.

Families planning to travel with their pets should visit the U.S. Army Yokosuka Veterinary Treatment Facility website immediately to learn about the Government of Japan's pet import laws to minimize out-of-pocket expenses to meet the animal quarantine process that can take as long as 180 days. Exact requirements are listed on the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service website here: USDA APHIS | Pet travel from the U.S. to Japan
