Welcome to Naval Beach Group ONE, located right on the beautiful Silver Strand Strip! Hopefully you will enjoy the weather, scenery, and all the activities that San Diego has to offer!

We are located on one of only two Navy amphibious training bases in the United States across the bay from Naval Base San Diego. Naval Amphibious Base (NAB), Coronado was formally commissioned in January 1944 to provide a shore base for the operations, training, and support of naval amphibious units worldwide.

Naval Beach Group ONE (NBG1) was established shortly thereafter in 1948 to consolidate amphibious assault assets on NAB.
