CMDCM Turiano is native of the Philippines. His family moved to San Diego, CA in April 2000 and soon after, he enlisted in Naval Service in July 2000 attending Basic Recruit Training at Great Lakes, IL. He also completed Seaman Apprenticeship Training, Hospital Corpsman “A” School and Surface Force Independent Duty Corpsman School.
His sea duty assignments include USS DAVID R RAY (DD 971) as undesignated deck seaman for his first sea tour, USS HIGGINS (DDG 76), 1st Marine Division where he deployed to Sangin, Afghanistan with 1st Battalion 5th Marines, and Carrier Air Wing FIVE (CVW-5) as part of Forward Deployed Naval Forces in Japan.
Ashore, he was assigned to US Naval Hospital Okinawa, Japan, Branch Health Clinic Diego Garcia, Naval Special Warfare Advanced Training Command (NSW ATC) and Military Sealift Command Ship Support Unit Guam (MSC SSU GUAM) where he was selected to the Command Senior Enlisted Program in February 2020.
His previous Command Senior Enlisted Leader (CSEL) tours were USS MOBILE (LCS 26) GOLD and USS STOCKDALE (DDG 106). He currently serves Afloat Training Group Pacific (ATG PAC) and Afloat Training Group San Diego (ATG SD) as the Command Master Chief.
During his sea tours, he completed multiple deployments in the Pacific, Atlantic, Central and Southern Command areas of responsibility.
He is a graduate of Senior Enlisted Academy and Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course. He also earned his degree in Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences with Trident University International and Master of Science in Strategic Leadership with University of Charleston.
List of awards include Meritorious Service Medals, Joint Service Commendation Medal with “C” device, Navy Commendation Medals, Navy Achievement Medals, Combat Action Ribbon, and multiple unit campaign medals that he credits to the Sailors with whom he has proudly served.
