USS Stockdale deploys to U.S. Northern Command Area of Responsibility

The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stockdale (DDG 106), sails through the Pacific Ocean, April 11, 2025. Stockdale is being employed under U.S. Northern Command’s maritime homeland defense authorities with a Coast Guard Law Enforcement Detachment embarked to enable maritime interdiction missions to prevent the flow of illegal drugs and other illegal activity. U.S. Northern Command is working together with the Department of Homeland Security to augment U.S. Customs and Border Protection along the southern border with additional military forces.

SAN DIEGO — The Carl Vinson Carrier Strike Group returned to San Diego, marking the end of an eight-month deployment to U.S. 3rd and 7th Fleets areas of operation, Feb. 14.

USS Stockdale (DDG 106) “returned with honor” to Port Hueneme, California to celebrate its 12th commissioning anniversary, April 18. The ship was in Port Hueneme 12 years prior, on the same day, on the same pier, that Stockdale was commissioned.
