Welcome Aboard
On behalf of everyone at Afloat Training Group Pacific (ATGPAC), welcome aboard! We are located at Naval Base San Diego at the intersection of Senn St. and Sturtevant St. in Building 58. Your sponsor will be reaching out to discuss your billet, reporting requirements, etc., or you can send our staff an email at W_SDNS_ATGPAC_STAFF_US@navy.mil.

At ATGPAC you will have a direct impact on training the Pacific Fleet and its warfighters. Your experience and technical knowledge will equip warfighters with the tools needed to meet each and every mission. We are a small command that serves as CNSP’s Executive Agent for Surface Ship Unit Level Training and as the immediate superior in command for five afloat training organizations. You will be asked to qualify as a Trainer and Team Lead for afloat training missions, to develop your assigned warfare expertise, and to develop solid working relationships with your peers at CNSP, other training organizations, and our afloat training organization trainers. This is a place where you will be expected to become a community leader, leveraging your years of experience to make the fleet better warfighters!

The San Diego area offers a wide variety of recreational activities, with beautiful beaches just minutes away. The MyNavy Family application offers our Navy families valuable information as they navigate through the Permanent Change of Station process.

As you check onboard, I want you to know this command expects all Sailors to treat each other with dignity and respect. It is important to remember that one day you might be relying on a fellow Sailor to save your life; or that you might be working together, side by side with another ATG Sailor, fighting for each other’s lives. In these moments, trust and respect will be essential in achieving a positive outcome. Never forget that everyone in this command is serving in an all-voluntary military and is making a sacrifice of some sort to serve our nation proudly.

Again, Congratulations and Welcome to the ATG family! We are happy to have you coming aboard.
