USS Spruance (DDG 111)

Underwater Construction Team Two (UCT-2) recently completed an underwater hull inspection of the guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) during a scheduled port call in the U.S. Pacific Fleet area of responsibility.

SAN DIEGO - A Coast Guard Air Station San Diego MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter aircrew and the crew of the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) rescued 17 aliens and one American aboard a disabled and adrift vessel approximately 50 miles southwest of San Diego Sunday.

SAIPAN, NORTHERN MARIANA ISLANDS (AUG. 8, 2024) – The Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) departed Saipan after a scheduled port call Aug. 4-8, marking an important opportunity to strengthen relationships in the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI). The port visit provided the Spruance crew the chance to engage with local communities, experience Saipan’s rich cultural heritage, and continue the longstanding partnership between the United States Navy and CNMI.

SAN DIEGO — The Arleigh-Burke class guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111), returned to Naval Base San Diego, Aug. 11, following a seven-month deployment with Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 3 to U.S. 3rd and 7th Fleets.

The U.S. Navy is scheduled to demonstrate re-arming the vertical launch system aboard Arleigh Burke-class destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) at Naval Air Station North Island and in the San Diego Harbor from Oct. 4 – 7.

Anderson, commander, Carrier Strike Group (CSG) 3, awarded the Arleigh-Burke class guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance’s (DDG 111) tomahawk strike team as the winners of Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group’s (ABECSG) deployment strike warfare competition: Thor’s Hammer 2022.

Aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111), the Battle of Midway carries special meaning for the 353 “Quiet Warriors” who are forward-deployed with, and sail alongside, the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Group.

SASEBO, Japan - Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Spruance (DDG 111) departed Fleet Activities Sasebo after completing an eight day voyage repair availability (VRAV).

Officers and crew from USS Spruance (DDG 111) welcomed the Brazilian naval training ship Navio-Escola (NE) Brasil (U-27) to San Diego for a weeklong goodwill visit that spanned the New Year holiday.
